The exhibition presents basketry and wickerwork, emblematic skills of Villaines-les-Rochers.
It retraces the history of the village and reveals the evolution of the wickerworker’s craft, thanks to collection objects and contemporary creations.

Temporary exhibitions are presented at the cultural center every season. They present creations related to crafts and know-how. They can also be linked to the annual artist residency and other partnerships, including with schools.

Workshops lasting from one to three hours are offered during the school vacations. They cover a wide variety of crafts, from basketry to woodturning, and are open to everyone, young and old.

Like the workshops, demos are offered to the public during the school vacations in various craft fields.
An artist residency takes place every year at Villaines-les-Rochers, with the aim of highlighting wickerwork and its new uses in contemporary creation. A temporary exhibition showcases the work carried out during the residency. The artists also take part in certain events held in the village, especially by offering workshops.

Events
Every year, the Maison des Savoir-Faire organizes a number of events related to crafts and know-how: the European Artistic Crafts Days, the Journées du Patrimoine et des Savoir-Faire, and the Journées Découverte des Troglodytes. During these events, artisans give demonstrations in their workshops and throughout the village.
To support the installation of artisans in Villaines-les-Rochers, affordable shared workshop spaces are available for rent.
