Philippe Fayat (Phil d'en fer) dans son atelier

Phil d’en fer

Philippe Fayat started out as an apprentice metalworker at a vocational high school in the 70s. He often says he chose the profession by chance, and has never left it since.

His workshop is located in a troglodyte, and his pieces are worked using a traditional coal-fired forge.

Philippe Fayat works to customers’ specifications. He has also created the handrail for the Villaines-les-Rochers church and the inscription on the pediment of the Lignières town hall.
