Danaé Falcoz

Danaé Falcoz began drawing during her three years of object design studies at the ENSAD Art Décoratifs. She then trained in metalwork through a métiers d’art metal training course at Oliviers de Serres, Paris. With her diploma in hand, she left to work in Nepal, where she took part in the reconstruction of temples and monasteries: it was alongside Nepalese craftsmen that she discovered forging, chiseling and other special fields and skills.

On her return, she naturally trained alongside a cutler, Daniel Charbit, and discovered the fascinating world of cutlery by working alongside him for over a year. In 2018, she decided to set up her own workshop, and create her own independent cutlery brand. She founded L’ATELIER DU METAL, to embark on an associative adventure combining work, research and pleasure.
